  • Family Code

In-Store Distributed Coupons
Coupons are distributed in the store
Good only at a specific store
Examples:

  • Checkout coupons
  • Shelf-Display Coupons
  • In-Store Poromotions

Does NOT include:

  • Sunday Supplements (FSIs)
  • Manufacturer Direct Mail
  • On-pack Coupons
  • Instant Redeemable Coupons (peel-off)
  • In-Ad Coupons

EAN-99 In-Store Distributed Coupon

  • 13 Digit EAN Bar Code
  • Prefix 99
  • 99 replaces NSC 5
  • All other information on coupons is the same
  • Retailer POS must be able to handle these
  • Retailers that want to use this must request this from suppliers

Coupon Extended Code
Information not in current coupon code
Offer codes, household ID, expiration dates
Used by manufacturers and clearing houses
Potential for POS scanning

    • Potential conflicts when couponing
